When a little angel looks like the devil, for a good reason!
At the point when George Ashman was born, the doctors saw a rare huge red skin coloration on his brow, his mom felt very concerned. His mom Karen understood that while looks shouldn't make any difference, she realized that later on, the extraordinary birthmark may meddle with his ability to meet new friends or find a spouse. At four years of age, George would at last experience a corrective surgery treatment that would start extending his forehead to cover up the huge birthmark. You need to see George after his fantastic cosmetic makeover!
Doctors are truly amazing when it comes to finding ways to correct horrid skin mutations.

While most people are indeed born is some sort of a birthmark, around 80%, in fact, it is usually quite small and hardly noticeable. There are some who are born with colossal birthmarks that are hard to hide.

Sometimes the birthmarks look amazingly cool, like the one seen in the picture with a birthmark that resembles a map that went viral few months ago.
But sadly, many birthmarks, especially when located on the face are not as aesthetic.

Little Poppy-Rae wound up breaking the internet when she was born with this fascinating heart-shaped pigmentation on her forehead.

But while some take pride with their birthmark, not everyone is fortunate enough to have a beautiful one, and for those with large birthmarks, correcting the skin is not easy.

George Ashman is a healthy little baby who was born with a skin coloration on the middle of his forehead, however that didn't prevent him from giving you an adorable smile.

As cute as this little fella is, his birthmark is quite unique.

The vast majority of these birthmarks don't develop to be greater than a little coin and can even grow smaller in due time as a kid passes the age of one.

Usually, 60% of babies with haemangioma develop birthmarks on their heads and necks, as it is less common to develop them on the legs and torso.
When it comes to removing a birthmark, the main factor for doctors is the size that needs to be removed. Large birthmarks are near impossible to remove, that is, until an extremely strange procedure was created to enable the removal of large birthmarks.

George's mom wanted to find a way to remove the large birthmark from his forehead, in a way that will not harm him. As it turns out, there is a way to do so, and it involves adding balloons inserted under the skin, to stretch it.

You could not do this surgery to a baby so Geroge had to wait until he was 4 years old to start his bizarre treatment, his mom Karen, 33, chose the time had come to conceal the skin coloration. With a specific goal to extend the skin around his birthmark to enable it to be concealed, tissue expanders would have to be inserted under his skin.

In the picture, you can see different types of expanders, similar to the pair that were inserted into George.

George initially had his inserts put in when he was four years of age. "When I first saw the implants in place I was speechless," said Karen in an interview.

"They were bigger than I expected – and set on either side of his small head looked like horns. My adorable little baby resembled a devil," she admitted.

While many think he looks kind of awesome, the horns would not stay there for long.

While some may think that taking a little kid and place him under the knife is quite radical, his mom only did what she thought would allow him to have a normal life: "When he was born immediately my mind raced forward ten years. George would be the picked-on kid with no friends, no girlfriend," said Karen.

So now comes the moment of truth! How will he look with the balloons and birthmark removed?

Well... The results speak better than words.

It is near impossible to even know that this kid had a giant red birthmark on his forehead.

"My little devil's got guts – and with or without his birthmark and his horns I'll always love him to bits for that," she said.

It is truly heart-warming to learn that this little kid will never have to worry about feeling like he is the odd one in the group, as he looks perfectly normal with almost no scars in sight.

George was not the only one who had balloons inserted into his skin, there were others that for a brief moment, looks quite bizarre.

George's procedure is like that of Jennifer Hiles who was born with a skin condition.

Jennifer had a blood vessel distortion called arterial venous malformation (AVM) since youth. Whiile in the begining, specialists assumed she just had a huge birthmark, they later on leanred that she actually had AVM.

Unlike normal birthmarks that tend to shrink over time, her condition led to building up of blood vessels in her face, the more time the AVM was not removed, the harder it got to rid her of it.

Like George, Jennifer has inflatable inserts put under her skin to extend skin so it would be utilized to conceal parts of her face when the AVM was surgically removed.
